The Bynolyt Stern with 8 times magnification and a 25mm lens diameter gives a suitable compact design for the marine user. The compact size allows the binoculars to be easily stored in small cockpit cuddies or carried in backpacks and bags.
The image is high-contrast clear and very lifelike. The renewed multi-coatings on all lens parts (also in the viewer) contribute to this. The twist-up eyepiece rubbers ensure that people who wear glasses can also use this viewer perfectly. Of course the viewer is waterproof and nitrogen-filled so that it cannot fog up from the inside.
