The cantilever socket is used where it is necessary to attach the autopilot to a vertical surface such as the cockpit sidewall and to mount it horizontally.
The cantilever rod has a length of L = 220 mm and may be shortened. When the autopilot is not in use the cantilever may be unscrewed.
